Irving Cistercian (0-4) at Casady (1-3)
When: 7 p.m. Friday
Where: Hoot Gibson Field, CHS

IC (or is it Dallas? I’ve seen it both ways)
Why IC can win: Because they’re due? I’ve looked at their schedule and results. It hasn’t been an easy season so far. 0-3 at home and only averaging seven points per game is not a good recipe. Tough to find confidence in a start like that.

Casady (L – FWAll Saints 26-7, L – Heritage 35-16, W – OCS 26-13, L – Houston Kinkaid 56-20)
Why the Cyclones can win: Because the team is eager to get back out there after the Kinkaid loss. The pieces are in place for Casady to still make a pretty strong statement toward the end of this season. Kinkaid isn’t going to be an easy out for anybody.

Key matchup: Casady passing game vs. Cistercian defense. It’s crucial to find some early success here to wipe out that taste from last week. Mac Katigan has made some serious strides and this should be a game where he should be able to make things happen.

The pick: Casady 33, Irvin Cistercian 15. Cyclones get back on the right track in this one. Michael Perry ends up with a nice game receiving and the lines dominate on both sides of the ball.

Boneman’s Casady prediction record: 3-1.
