One solid week after another. Really, did this group give me any other choice? I have to give the Carl Albert offensive line the honor of being the Mid-Del Players of the Week.

After scoring 12 points in Week 1, the Titans have scored at least 34 in their four wins since. And they’ve had to make a transition from the quickness of Dillan Dansby to Taylor Hawkins at quarterback.

It’s been pretty seamless. The line keeps opening up holes for Hawkins and Kenton Whittington and Darvonta Knight, and the yards and Ws keep piling up for Carl Albert.

Led by All-State-caliber linemen Kyle Croak and Anthony Frazier, Carl Albert earned more than 500 yards of total offense in a blowout of El Reno.

Other contenders

Chazten Gonzales, Del City, Football: Gonzales was back to his old tricks, accounting for four touchdowns in a season-saving win against previously undefeated Putnam City.
