Del City: Eagles soaring at the right time...

Obviously this season has not gone the way Del City thought it would. It’s been plagued by inconsistency and turnovers, but Nick Warehime’s kids remain in the playoff hunt.
And ironically, if they can do what they couldn’t do last year, they could be punching their playoff ticket here in a couple of weeks.
Last year Del City was 7-1 and ranked in our top 10. Ryan Aber and myself were gushing about this team. A late-season swoon, and the Eagles were the best team not in the playoffs.
Fast forward to this year where the Eagles haven’t sniffed the top 10 for the entire season. Great outings against Norman North and Putnam City are sandwiched around head-scratchers against Edmond North and Westmoore.
But with a big road win, a true gut-check win against Edmond Santa Fe, the Eagles should be entering the final two weeks with a ton of confidence.
Del City closes out with home games against US Grant and then the huge showdown with Mustang.
