Westmoore Jaguars (5-5) at Midwest City Bombers (10-0)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Where: Jim Darnell Stadium, Midwest City

Westmoore (5-5)
Why the Jaguars can win
: Defense. The Jaguars will have to lean on this unit. It’s getting better every week and doesn’t have a real weakness — other than great speed. If Westmoore wants to make it back to the second round for the first time in three years, it’ll have to do it without the ball.

Quote: “It’ll be a big challenge. They are 10-0 for a reason but our kids aren’t going to be scared or intimidated.” — Westmoore coach Billy Langford said.

Midwest City (10-0)
Why the Bombers can win:
Simply put because this team is better. The offense has more weapons. The defense is more stingy. This is a team that should be poised for greatness. The first step begins tonight.

Key matchup: Westmoore’s offense vs. Midwest City’s defense. The Jaguars have to move the ball, keep possession and grind out the clock if they want a chance to win Friday. The only problem is that the Bombers’ defense is riding a wave of confidence after three shutouts in its last five games and is pretty good.

Justin’s pick: Midwest City 31, Westmoore 17. Midwest City just has too many playmakers on offense and the Jaguars might be too banged up to keep up with the Bombers’ speed.

Boneman’s pick: Midwest City 42, Westmoore 14. The sleeping giant wakes up in a big way as Bombers show they belong in 6A conversation.

Boneman’s MWC prediction record: 10-0.
