It’s around this time that wrestling coaches start finding out what tweaks they need to make in their lineup to get ready for next month’s state tournament.

There’s still time for wrestlers to try to make their statements as well and this weekend’s 46th Carl Albert Invitational is one of those opportunities.

The tournament begins Friday, with the championships Saturday night. There will be Outstanding Wrestlers named for lower weights and upper weights.

List of teams competing: Ada, Altus, Ardmore, Capitol Hill, Carl Albert, Deer Creek, Duncan, Durant, Edmond Santa Fe, Guthrie, Harrah, Lawton Mac, Miami, Noble, NW Classen, Putnam West, Shawnee, Southeast, Stilwell, Tahlequah, Tecumseh, US Grant and Western Heights.

I will be there for the championships.
