The commits keep coming for the Del City football team. The fourth Eagle offensive player has committed to go with the first player on defense.
Running back/wide receiver Greg Johnson and cornerback Drew Smith have both committed to Sam Houston State, joining QB Chazten Gonzales (TCU), OL Jamelle Naff (TCU) and WR Marquis Walters (Weber State).
“There are a lot of other kids from Oklahoma that go to Sam Houston so it should be a natural fit for both of them. They’re good kids,” coach Nick Warehime said.
Johnson was an all-around threat for the Eagles this year. He rushed for 696 yards and seven touchdowns and added 355 receiving yards and four scores. Johnson said Sam Houston State sees him as a wide receiver and kickoff returner.
Smith had 32 tackles and one interception last season for Del City.
