All-State golf teams announced

Two-time Class 5A state champion Taylor Williams of Chickasha highlighted the West boys All-State golf team announced Tuesday by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

Williams, who won this year’s 5A title by 12 strokes, is one of two individual state champions on the West squad, along with Guymon’s Trey Fankhouser.

The West team also has two members from the seven-time 6A defending champion Edmond North Huskies, with Caleb Meyers and Austen Fuller.

The West girls are led by 4A state champion Kendra Mann of Harrah and 3A champ Caitlin Swisher of Chandler will represent the East team.

The East teams will be coached by Broken Bow’s Bruce Williams and Lawton MacArthur’s David Frost will coach the West teams.

Here are the rosters for the All-State Tournament, which will be played July 25 at a Tulsa-area course to be determined:

West boys: Caleb Myers, Edmond North; Jett Johnson, Norman North; Taylor Willilams, Chickasha; Seth Morgan, Ardmore; Trey Fankhouser, Guymon; Graham Billeg, Newcastle; Chad Smith, Plainview; Grant Bates, Sulphur; Jackson Ogle, Oklahoma Christian; Scotty Verplank, Oklahoma Christian; Andrew Riesen, Ardmore; Austen Fuller, Edmond North.
