Hennessey (10-3) vs. Millwood (13-0)
When
: 1 p.m. Saturday
Where: Yukon’s Miller Pride Stadium (Ryan Aber will be there)
Story: Orlando Pina one of several juniors leading charge.

Another year, another game against the top-ranked team. It’s getting old for Hennessey coach Shannon Watford.

This is the Eagles’ third consecutive trip to the semifinals and the third time facing the No. 1-ranked team. In the other two games, Hennessey came up short. We shall see what happens Saturday.

I wanted to believe in this team all year. Love what Watford has done at Hennessey. But losses to Jones and Kingfisher had ‘em at 1-2, and I had to take them out of the rankings.

The Eagles went on a roll from that point as QB Trey Leu really started to blossom, but a loss to Watonga put Hennessey in second in the district.

The running game has been coming up huge. Led by Levi Hill and Ivan Moreno, the Eagles aren’t fancy, but they certainly are effective.
