Westmoore basketball experienced a strong turnaround this season, and Kyle Lakin and Beau Palmer were a big part of that.

Now, both of them have solidified their college futures, each signing letters of intent in the last week.

Lakin, pictured on the left, will continue his basketball career at McPherson (Kan.) College, while Palmer signed with Hesston (Kan.) College, seen in the photo on the right.

Lakin, a point guard, averaged 7.6 points and nearly three assists per game in guiding the Jaguars’ strong turnaround under coach Scott Hodges this season. Palmer averaged 8.9 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Jags, providing a strong presence all over the floor.

Westmoore nearly doubled its win total from a year ago, finishing 14-10 on the season.
