For Sunday’s Oklahoman, I’m writing about the impact of Owasso’s upset of Tulsa Union on Friday night, which could have a serious — either good or bad — effect on some of the Class 6A teams around the Oklahoma City area.

As part of that, I compiled this list of Jenks and Union’s losses to teams other than each other over the last 15-plus seasons, since they took a stranglehold on the 6A gold ball.

Here’s a look at the two powerhouse teams’ losses to other teams since 1996 (*-denotes playoff game):

*Tulsa Washington 21, Union 17 (Nov. 22, 1996, second round)
Muskogee 25, Union 13 (Oct. 31, 1997)
*Stillwater 43, Union 42 (Nov. 14, 1997, first round)
*Putnam City North 42, Union 28 (Nov. 24, 2001, semifinals)
Hoover, Ala., 34, Union 7 (Sept. 1, 2006)
Muskogee 21, Union 7 (Sept. 15, 2006)
*Muskogee 20, Union 18 (Nov. 10, 2006, first round)
