Guthrie coach Rafe Watkins encouraging fans to not attend OSSAA appeal

Is there someone saying jenks didn't get special treatment? Y'all cheated for years and got away with it when your program should've been shut down for years. What " special treatment" do you want exactly?? It don't get much more special than that...

So, the family just happened to buy a house next door to the Head Coach? Funny how that worked out. That in itself does not pass the smell test. Guess real estate must have been the coach's side job / hobby. Rules are clear and the process is clear. Neither were followed in this case. Initial ruling should have stood. What new evidence or information did they present that convinced OSAAA to overturn the decision? Nothing....same facts and the ruling should have been the same. Good luck enforcing any rule in the future OSAAA. Just re-write this rule now and have it listed under: How to Use an Ineligible Player - Rafe Watkins author. My tax dollars better not pay the salary of any educator that is suspended and cannot perform the FULL duties that they were hired to do.

Dear Guthrie residents, there is a rule book. If Guthrie is unable to provide evidence contrary to the rule book, then the ruling should stand no matter how you feel about the family, the football team's efforts this year. In fact, this team should have squared it and that I would assume falls on the shoulders of the head coach. If what I have stated is a bridge too far, think of it this way.....the US Constitution is your rule book and when a President and other leaders do something in Oklahoma which is clearly a duty mandated to the state then the President is violating the rule of law. This is done quite often. I can live with those decisions when it is bound to the law, but not by the whims of men. Rule of Law vs Rule of Man.

well its pretty funny that guthries superintendent is on the OSSAA board and getting special considerations from the board...jenks didn't get this kind of treatment last year nor did booker t. washington.... i guess guthrie could give them some pointers on how to get some of their people on the board.

From what i got it seemed the coach didnt provide proper paperwork and took responsibility by not coaching the reamining 8 games. Even great coaches fail to do the basics...............

Are families not allowed to own more than one property per the OSSAA?

As a former coach when transfers arrive there is a process to get the approval from the OSSAA.
