Monday, Douglass defensive end Deondre Clark and Norman North quarterback David Cornwell were named to the initial Rivals100 for the 2014 class.

Tuesday, they were joined by four other Oklahoma high school standouts on the Rivals250.

Clark leads the way at No. 48. Cornwell is at No. 63.

Jenks defensive back Steven Parker is at No. 114, Edmond Santa Fe quarterback Justice Hansen is at No. 140, Broken Arrow running back Devon Thomas is at No. 155 and Broken Arrow linebacker Gyasi Akem is at No. 238.

Thomas is the only state player who is committed after switching from Oklahoma to Oklahoma State.

The 2014 class is one of the strongest in the state in a long time and it certainly shows in these rankings.

If you look last year at the finals Rivals250, only one state player made the list and he didn’t even play last season–Southmoore’s D.J. Ward (No. 154).

In 2012, Heritage Hall teammates Sterling Shepard (131) and Barry Sanders (134) were on the final list, as was Jenks’ Alex Ross (144).
