Millwood junior receiver Cameron Batson’s recruitment is gaining momentum, with his second scholarship offer coming Monday.

First-year Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury extended an offer to the 5-foot-9, 165-pound Batson, who was No. 24 on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list ranking the 2014 class of football recruits.

The offer came less than two weeks after one of Kingsbury’s mentors — former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach, now at Washington State — offered Batson a scholarship as well.

Batson is also gaining interest from Texas A&M, which has invited him to campus this weekend. Oklahoma State, California and Ohio are among the other programs actively recruiting Batson.
