Former Edmond North runner Hannah Helker, now at Oklahoma Baptist, was named the NAIA National Women’s Cross Country Runner of the week for Sept. 3-9.

Helker, a sophomore, helped lead OBU to a season-opening victory at the Central Oklahoma Land Run on Sept. 8. She finished in 18:06, more than 58 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher on the 5K course.

The Lady Bison won the event with 36 points.
