Fan Poll: Vote for the OKC-area Football Player of the Week
It’s time again for the fans to cast their vote for the Player of the Week in Week Three of the high school football season around the Oklahoma City area.
Pick one of the five selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.
Voting ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.
So cast your vote, discuss and debate the best performance from Week Three:
Randal Case, WR, Jones: Caught a pair of 22-yard TD passes from QB David Cornwell, rushed for a score and picked up a blocked field goal to run in for a score as Jones nipped OCS 26-25.
Frankie Edwards, QB, Mustang: Threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for another 152 yards to lift the Broncos to a 36-14 romp over upstart Stillwater.
John Jacobs, QB, Shawnee: Surpassed the 200-yard mark both rushing and passing, also throwing four TD passes to Theo Berryas the Wolves came back to beat Ponca City for coach Billy Brown’s 150th career victory.
Austin Loomis, LB, Deer Creek: By this point, many players would be happy to have 30 tackles for the season. Loomis had that many Thursday night in the Antlers’ win over Edmond Memorial.
Trevor Moore, K, Edmond North: With four field goals, including a long of 42 yards, and two extra points, Moore outscored Edmond Santa Fe himself in the Huskies’ Edlam upset.
