Fan Poll: Vote for the OKC-area Player of the Week

District play opened for most teams this week, and several players saw it as a time to shine. Now you get the chance to let us know who you thought was the Player of the Week in Week 4 of the high school football season around the Oklahoma City area.

Pick one of the five selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.

Voting ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.

Here are the candidates:

Brandon Carlton, RB, Bridge Creek: Carlton powered Bridge Creek to 428 total rushing yards and scored four touchdowns, including a pair of fourth-quarter scores to seal the 41-35 win over Mount St. Mary.

Colton Hamel, WR, Destiny Christian: Snagged four touchdown passes as Destiny Christian racked up 418 passing yards and 712 total in a 50-42 win over Corn Bible.

Justice Hansen, QB, Edmond Santa Fe: Passed for 272 yards, rushed for 103 and accounted for seven total TDs — five passing and two rushing — in the Wolves’ 53-37 win over Southmoore.

Zach Long, QB, Norman: Long rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries and threw a 28-yard touchdown pass as Norman piled up 511 total yards in a 56-35 win over Mustang.

Jon McBride, QB, Del City: Rushed for two touchdowns and threw two scoring passes as the Eagles shocked third-ranked Lawton MacArthur 41-18.
