Picks: Week 5

by Ryan Aber Modified: May 13, 2013 at 4:44 pm •  Published: September 28, 2012

Scott gained another game on Jacob and Ryan last week,

Record (Overall, lock)
Scott: 7-3 (29-11, 4-0)
Jacob: 6-4 (28-12, 3-1)
Ryan: 6-4 (27-13, 2-1)
Jason: 5-5 (25-14, 3-1)

Now on to this week’s picks:
SCOTT WRIGHT
Cascia Hall 28, Sallisaw 27
Seminole 21, Sequoyah-Claremore 18
Tulsa East Central 35, Coweta 24
Davenport 48, Dewar 44
Lindsay 34, Frederick 33
Berryhill 35, Verdigris 28
Del City 38, Ardmore 17
Wagoner 28, Tulsa McLain 21
Edmond Santa Fe 49, Mustang 41
Fort Gibson 28, Broken Bow 20
Lock of the Week: Del City over Ardmore. The Eagles are for real, even if it didn’t look like it the first two weeks. They hit another gear in the win over Lawton MacArthur last week and they’re ready to reel off a long string of wins.
JACOB UNRUH
Cascia Hall 28, Sallisaw 20
Seminole 24, Sequoyah Claremore 21
Tulsa East Central 35, Coweta 24
Dewar 40, Davenport 32
Frederick 45, Lindsay 35
Berryhill 21, Verdigris 17
Del City 27, Ardmore 21
Wagoner 34, Tulsa McLain 24
Edmond Santa Fe 27, Mustang 24
Fort Gibson 18, Broken Bow 14
Lock of the week: Del City over Ardmore. After watching Del City methodically beat Lawton MacArthur last week, how can this not be my lock of the week? Del City quarterback Jon McBride has been great and Corey Lawrence is a gamechanger. It’s possible this could turn into a rout.
RYAN ABER
Cascia Hall 27, Sallisaw 21
Seminole 20, Seq.-Claremore 14
Tulsa East Central 27, Coweta 24
Dewar 38, Davenport 31
Frederick 26, Lindsay 20
Berryhill 28, Verdigris 14
Del City 28, Ardmore 20
Wagoner 37, Tulsa McLain 20
Edmond Santa Fe 42, Mustang 27
Fort Gibson 21, Broken Bow 16
Lock of the week: Berryhill over Verdigris. Berryhill hasn’t been challenged much since a season-opening win over Glenpool. But the Chieftains will come out of this one and hand Verdigris its first loss.
JASON KERSEY
Cascia Hall 34, Sallisaw 27
Seminole 26, Sequoyah Claremore 17
Coweta 31, Tulsa East Central 30
Dewar 43, Davenport 35
Frederick 35, Lindsay 28
Berryhill 29, Verdigris 24
Del City 41, Ardmore 24
Wagoner 36, Tulsa McLain 20
Edmond Santa Fe 41, Mustang 38
Fort Gibson 23, Broken Bow 14
Lock of the week: Del City over Ardmore. Nick Warehime’s team was impressive in last week’s big win at Lawton MacArthur, and I think the Eagles carry that momentum into Friday’s game against Ardmore.
