Picks: Week 6

by Ryan Aber Modified: May 13, 2013 at 4:44 pm •  Published: October 3, 2012

A perfect week by Jacob vaults him into the lead, while Ryan’s perfect week is enough to catch Scott.

Jacob: 10-0 (38-12, 4-1)
Ryan: 10-0 (38-12, 3-1)
Scott: 8-2 (37-13, 5-0)
Jason: 9-1 (34-15, 4-1)

Jacob
Jenks 21, Broken Arrow 20
Anadarko 20, Clinton 17
Millwood 38, OCS 30
Lawton 24, Southmoore 17
Tulsa East Central 35, Claremore 24
Pond Creek-Hunter 48, Garber 42
Fort Gibson 27, Poteau 15
Wayne 34, Stratford 22
Tulsa Washington 24, Stillwater 21
Midwest City 17, Putnam North 12

Lock of the week: Anadarko over Clinton. Anadarko lost a ton of talent in the offseason, but it still hasn’t missed a beat. R.J. Sink has been fantastic. This game is essentially a toss-up, but the Warriors play extremely well at home.

Ryan
Jenks 27, Broken Arrow 25
Clinton 20, Anadarko 14
Millwood 33, OCS 20
Lawton 28, Southmoore 22
Tulsa East Central 33, Claremore 26
Pond Creek-Hunter 36, Garber 28
Fort Gibson 28, Poteau 20
Wayne 32, Stratford 14
Tulsa Washington 20, Stillwater 17
Midwest City 20, Putnam North 14

Lock of the week: Millwood over OCS. The Falcons match up better against OCS’ receivers than anyone else has so far this season, and Millwood has the talent up front to get to the quarterback and neutralize the Saints’ running game, much like Jones did earlier this season.

Scott
Broken Arrow 28, Jenks 21
Clinton 27, Anadarko 24
Millwood 38, OCS 35
Lawton 35, Southmoore 34
Tulsa East Central 41, Claremore 20
Pond Creek-Hunter 50, Garber 44
Fort Gibson 28, Poteau 24
Wayne 35, Stratford 28
Stillwater 24, Tulsa Washington 21
Putnam City North 28, Midwest City 27

Lock of the Week: Broken Arrow over Jenks. BA showed last season that it’s ready to take the next step and be considered one of the legitimate powers in 6A with the likes of Jenks and Union. This week’s win should ignite them on what could very well turn out to be a title run.

Jason

Jenks 35, Broken Arrow 31
Anadarko 21, Clinton 17
Millwood 26, OCS 21
Lawton 30, Southmoore 24
Tulsa East Central 37, Claremore 27
Garber 41, Pond Creek-Hunter 40
Fort Gibson 29, Poteau 20
Wayne 34, Stratford 20
Tulsa Washington 31, Stillwater 21
Midwest City 38, Putnam City North 24

Lock of the week: Midwest City over PC North. The Bombers got off to a rough start after losing quarterback Joel Davis just before the season started, but Darrell Hall’s team will hit its stride midway through his first season as coach.
