Fan Poll: Vote for the OKC-area High School Football Player of the Week
The football season is winding down and the performances keep getting better.
Here are five of the best from Week 8, and fans can vote on who deserves the Oklahoma City-area Player of the Week honor here on our weekly fan poll.
Pick one of the five selections from the poll below, or write in your own candidate in the comments section, where you can tell us why your choice deserves Player of the Week honors.
Voting ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday and the results of the poll will appear in Wednesday’s Oklahoman.
Here are the candidates:
Bryan Dutton, Guthrie: Threw two touchdown passes and ran for three scores, including the game-winning 10-yard score in overtime of a 42-35 defeat of Deer Creek.
Colton Ebers, Wellston: Scored all three touchdowns as Wellston rallied from a 14-0 deficit for a 21-14 win, snapping a 21-game losing streak.
Chris High, Douglass: Only carried the ball nine times, but accounted for 198 yards and four touchdowns in Douglass’ 41-17 win over McLoud.
Ty Reasnor, Cashion: Was 15-of-26 passing for 287 yards and four TDs, throwing a 31-yard, game-winning TD to defeat previously unbeaten Crescent.
Julian Tramble, Tecumseh: Rushed 26 times for 302 yards and three touchdowns in an upset over Glenpool that kept Tecumseh’s playoff hopes alive.
