Students at King's Gate Christian School celebrated Red Earth Day on Monday with activities that focused on American Indian history.

Members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes presented traditional music and dancing in authentic attire. King's Gate students were invited to learn and participate in the dancing.

With input from parents and students, the school, 11400 N Portland, decided on the Red Earth theme this year as an alternative to re-enacting the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889.
