Chad Peery's spirit will live on

Published: April 24, 2013

Two years ago when my friend Chad Peery was attacked and paralyzed, I asked God why a father of four should have to endure so much. Then, as Chad carried his cross, he motivated us when he refused to give up. He inspired a family of law enforcement and captured the heart of the citizens of Oklahoma City with his optimism. Now, once again, I find myself asking God why a man who has already suffered so much should be called home now. Why must his innocent children suffer physically and emotionally from the loss of their father? I'm sure God has a purpose, but I can't imagine what it could be.

Please pray for Chad's children and his family of brothers and sisters at the Oklahoma City Police Department. Chad's spirit will live on in our hearts and in others through the gift of organ donation.
