“The Vampire Diaries” hasn’t had a new episode in a while, but tonight’s show was definitely worth the wait!

Having Elena (Nina Dobrev) keep an eye on Rose (Lauren Cohan) was obviously not a good idea, but,  of course, it made for some really intense scenes.

Caroline (Candice Accola) ended up in a quandary that wasn’t actually too bad to be in, but it looks like Tyler (Michael Trevino) isn’t so happy with her after he talked to Jules.

And the Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Rose storyline was beautiful and touching.

While Damon is usually fun as a bad boy, I always enjoy the episodes where he shows his human side – at least he did that until the end of the show!

Somerhalder excelled at showing Damon’s compassionate side, while also displaying how difficult it is to not be controlled by his vampire nature.
