Travel Channel announces travel guide app featuring Anthony Bourdain

Travel Channel has announced the debut of its first travel guide application to be made available on iTunes (itunes.apple.com) starting today, March 7, according to a news release.

The “Travel Channel Layover Guide With Anthony Bourdain” combines the vision of the network’s Emmy-winning host with practical tools to assist users in creating their own Bourdain-inspired excursions.

Designed to appeal to the armchair traveler as well as the jetsetter, the $1.99 app was developed to motivate users to browse, watch, create and go.

With the exclusive content from two Travel Channel shows “The Layover” and “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” the app provides, users can customize their journeys from an afternoon pub crawl to a week-long vacation across ten featured cities including Amsterdam, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, Rome, San Francisco and Singapore.
