“Smash” renewed for second season

Chairman of NBC Entertainment Robert Greenblatt announced today that NBC has picked up its critically acclaimed musical drama “Smash” for a second season, according to a news release.
The series about the making of a Marilyn Monroe musical including all of the drama onstage and backstage features cast members Debra Messing, Megan Hilty, Katharine McPhee, Anjelica Houston, Christian Borle and Jack Davenport.
“Smash” airs at 9 p.m. Mondays on NBC.
