“Cold Blood”: Investigation Discovery series features Ada homicide April 5
Debbie Sue Carter, 21, was raped, beaten and strangled in her apartment in Ada on Dec. 8, 1982.
Her murder resulted in a quest for justice, pushing Ada into the national spotlight and leaving her family wondering for a quarter of a century who her killer was, and her case will be featured in the Investigation Discovery series “Cold Blood” at 8 p.m., Thursday, April 5, according to a news release.
The episode includes interviews with Carter’s mother Peggy Sanders; Carter’s sister Darla Tatum; Carter’s cousin Christy Sheppard; Carter’s friends Donna Palmisano and Jina Vietta; former Oklahoma Assistant District Attorney Chris Ross; former Oklahoma District Attorney Bill Peterson; former Ada Police Detective Danny Barrett; former Ada Police Patrolman Mike Miller; Oklahoma Forensic Analyst Tom Bevel; Prosecutor Richard Wintory; witness Ron West; Glen Gore and Dennis Fritz.
