“Will Rogers’ Romance with Betty and America,” a one-woman musical written and performed by Lynette Bennett, is set to air at 8 p.m. May 21 on OETA.

Will Rogers’ story is told from the point of view of his wife Betty Blake Rogers, and in playing this role, Bennett reveals Betty’s intimate experience of marriage to a world legend, and shows as well a heart-warming glimpse into the private soul of the woman whose insights helped create the public Will Rogers, according to a news release.

Bennett, an actor/singer/dancer, has starred in productions at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, London’s West End, Broadway and Off-Broadway, and is currently traveling widely with her one-woman shows.

The show will also rerun at 6 p.m. May 22 on OETA.
