Pop star and Edmond native Greyson Chance, 14, who’s appeared on the national television shows “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “Good Morning America,” joins country/pop music star Taylor Swift, professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler and FIFA’s top female soccer star Marta on the cover of “The World Almanac for Kids 2012.”

“I really can’t believe I’m on the cover of The World Almanac for Kids! Just two years ago I was an everyday kid from Oklahoma, and it’s an honor to be here now—especially in the company of such amazing other young people!” Chance said in a news release.

“The World Almanac for Kids 2012,” a combination of fun facts, puzzles, activities and games, includes an expanded “Environment” feature, which has a “Living Green” section centering on how small choices and practical changes can make a big difference, and there is also a “Population” section, which examines the results from the 2010 census and offers insight into the changing face of the United States.
