OKC’s Biggest Loser Contest participants have lost a group total of 310 pounds, according to a news release sent out Friday, Oct. 28.

Science Museum Oklahoma and Steve Clausen’s OneHealthyBod are sponsors of the contest, which began Oct. 1 at the museum.

“OKC’s Biggest Loser Contest started with 40 contestants with a total combined weight of 10,102 lbs. That is 5 tons of people,” Steve Clausen of OneHealthyBod, the official trainer for the Oklahoma City Thunder Girls, said in the news release. “The contest started three weeks ago and we have lost 310 lbs. OKC’s Biggest Loser Contest is truly one of the most rewarding things I have been a part of during my training career.”

Contestants work towards their weight loss goals with weekly weigh-ins at the museum while also competing for the grand prize of a five-day Caribbean cruise for two on Carnival Cruise Lines.

The winner will be announced at the final weigh-in Dec. 28.
