The Syfy reality competition series “Face Off” will air its Season Three finale live from Los Angeles, Calif., at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.

For the first time, viewers will make the final choice for the season champion via a live voting feature that will be available immediately following the Oct. 30 episode, according to a news release.

McKenzie Westmore will host the special event and there will be a reunion of contestants, including the three finalists who will discover on live television if they received enough viewer votes to win the season.

Season Three of “Face Off” debuts at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, and features 12 new contestants assigned to create an original alien character inspired by the classic cantina scene from “Star Wars: A New Hope.”

Sean Astin will make a guest appearance in the premiere episode.

More information on the series and its third season, provided by Syfy, is as follows:

“Face Off” is an authentic depiction of the high creative standards necessary for a special effects make-up artist to succeed in their craft.
