“Glee” returns Sept. 13
Season Four of “Glee” begins with New Directions holding auditions for new members, returning members battling to be the “star” of the group, and Rachel (Lea Michele) starting classes at NYADA.
Things aren’t going real well for Rachel with her dance teacher Cassandra July (guest star Kate Hudson), who singles her out and steadily dishes out criticism to her, but, on the bright side, she has made the acquaintance of Brody (Dean Geyer), a good-looking, friendly upperclassman.
The McKinley High School students vying for a spot in New Directions include Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Puck’s half-brother Jake Puckerman (Jacob Artist).
While watching this first episode after the momentous McKinley High graduation last year, I found myself missing Mercedes (Amber Riley), Quinn (Dianna Agron), Santana (Naya Rivera), Finn (Cory Monteith), Puck (Mark Salling) and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) quite a bit.
However, Marley seems to be a promising new character, along with Brody, and Rachel’s story line became even more promising by the conclusion of the show.
And, of course, I can’t resist the music, so I’ll be keeping tabs on the “Glee” crew for a while.
The fourth season of “Glee” premieres at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 on Fox.
