“American Idol”: Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban join Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson as judges

Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban are joining  Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson at the “American Idol” judging table for the 12th season of the Fox singing competition series, according to a news release.

Contestants will meet host Ryan Seacrest and the new judging panel today when auditions begin in New York City.

Other audition cities for the 12th season of the show include Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Charlotte, San Antonio and Baton Rouge.
