“Firefly: Browncoats Unite”: Tenth anniversary special airs Nov. 11 on Science Channel
Science Channel is reuniting Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion and the rest of the renegade crew of the Serenity for the first time ever in “Firefly: Browncoats Unite,” airing at 9 p.m. Nov. 11.
The 60-minute special on the series, which has continued to be popular despite ending a decade ago, includes secrets from the set, exclusive cast interviews, and footage from this year’s Comic-Con panel, according to a news release.
Cast members Sean Maher, Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, Alan Tudyk, Gina Torres and Jewel Staite, as well as executive producer Tim Minear and executive story editor Jose Molina join Whedon and Fillion on the program.
An all-day marathon of the series starts at 6 a.m. Nov. 11, ending with the “Firefly: Browncoats Unite” premiere at 9 p.m.

FIREFLY the series is set in the year 2517, in a new star system and follows the adventures of the ragtag crew of Serenity, a “Firefly-class” spaceship. The ensemble cast depicts nine distinct characters who, have all banded together for very different reasons.
