The PBS holiday special “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas” returns, beginning Thanksgiving week, airing Wednesday and Friday, Nov. 21 and 23 and Sunday, Nov. 25 (check local listings.)

A special primetime presentation will air Sunday, Dec. 16 (check local listings.)

Details on “Arthur’s Perfect Christmas,” provided by PBS, are as follows:

Arthur’s Perfect Christmas follows Arthur and friends on their quest to have the best holiday season ever. From Christmas presents and Hanukah games, to Kwanzaa and seasonal celebrations, everything has to be perfect. But as Arthur’s best-laid plans fall apart, he discovers that the true joy of Christmas isn’t found in perfection, but in spending time with those you love.

“Time and again I hear from families that watching Arthur’s Perfect Christmas together has become a holiday tradition. I think it’s a holiday story that touches a lot of people in tender, funny, and inclusive ways,” remarked Arthur creator Marc Brown. “We’re delighted to offer viewers, both new and returning, the opportunity to enjoy Arthur’s Perfect Christmas this year,” added Executive Producer Carol Greenwald.
