In this week’s episode of “Dexter” titled “The Dark… Whatever,” airing at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 on Showtime, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski) wind up spending some “quality” time with her father Clint (Jim Beaver) – and he doesn’t make a good impression on Dexter.

Workwise, Dexter and Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) and their Miami Metro co-workers continue with their assignment of the case of the Phantom Arsonist, and Capt. LaGuerta (Lauren Vélez) has recruited former Deputy Chief Matthews (Geoff Pierson) for assistance in investigating the Bay Harbor Butcher crimes.

Also, in trying to protect Nadia (Katia Winter), Quinn (Desmond Harrington) finds himself in a deadly situation.

Strahovski reveals a completely different side to Hannah as she deals with her father in this episode, and the discussion between Hannah and Dexter about his “Dark Passenger” is provocative.

Beaver, a University of Central Oklahoma alumnus, portrays Clint in a way that perfectly lives up to the way Hannah has described him and delivers a strong performance.

“Dexter” fans should find “The Dark… Whatever” another satisfying episode.
