Holidays are a stressful time, and Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Hannah (Yvonne Strahovski) are facing more stress than usual. A lack of trust is poisoning their relationship, just when Dexter is really beginning to think about his future – and who he’ll be sharing it with.
Also in this week’s episode of “Dexter,” airing at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 on Showtime, Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) stands firm in her mission to find evidence to prosecute Hannah, and Dexter finds out the man who ordered his mother’s death is up for parole.
He is released from prison, and fans of this show know that this is an event for Dexter to relish.
Hall has always excelled at making Dexter a relatable and sympathetic character and that element is accentuated particularly when he is contemplating his future as this episode begins, and as he tries to unearth the truth behind an accident that occurs.
Kudos also go to writers Manny Coto and Wendy West and director John Dahl for delivering another compelling episode of “Dexter.”
The unexpected ending of this show reveals the persistence and ingenuity of one of the show’s main characters – which leads up to what should be a killer Season 7 finale next week.
