Back in the days before cable and satellite dishes and VCRs and DVRs, the Rankin/Bass stop motion animation specials “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” were the holiday programs that I most looked forward to viewing once a year as a child.

These magical stop-motion animation specials created by Rankin/Bass are so wonderful they’re still shown today and, along with another classic animated program, “Frosty the Snowman,” are among the features included in “The Original Christmas Classics” DVDs and Blu-rays I’m offering in a random drawing giveaway today through 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10.

Three Blu-ray copies and three DVD copies of “The Original Christmas Classics,” provided by Classic Media, are up for grabs and winners for the six sets will be selected after the deadline on Dec. 10.

Submit your comments about these holiday shows, or any others that are your favorites, and fill out the form below to be entered in the contest.

The only requirement is that you must live within the contiguous 48 United States.

I will post a blog announcing the winners next week, so be sure and check back here at http://lookatokc.newsok.com/tv to see if you’ve won!
