OMAHA, Neb. — Oklahoma State scored a run in the top of the ninth inning Sunday and made it stick for a 6-5 baseball victory over Creighton at the TD Ameritrade Classic.

OSU (32-11 overall) took advantage of a couple of Creighton (24-10) miscues in the ninth inning to take the lead. Rick Stover led off the inning by reaching base on an error. Pinch runner Jarrett Higgins advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, and then moved to third on Mark Lukowski's wild pitch. Higgins scored the go ahead run on Donnie Walton's double.

Reliever Brendan McCurry retired the Blue Jays in order in the bottom of the ninth. McCurry improved to 6-2.

Oklahoma State, a winner of five straight, notched its 15th come-from-behind victory Sunday.

The Cowboys return to action Friday when they open a three-game series at Texas Tech.
