A Michigan woman has filed a formal complaint with her daughter’s school district, claiming passages in Anne Frank’s diary are too graphic for seventh-graders, according to a Detroit Fox News affiliate.

The station reports that the seventh-grade class is reading a newer, unedited version of the famous Anne Frank Diary.

In the book, Frank talks about the discovery of her own genitalia in what some would consider graphic terms, according to MyFoxDetroit.com.
