Oklahoma County prosecutors filed misdemeanor assault and battery charges Tuesday against a Bethany couple accused of assaulting each other in front of their 7-year-old daughter, court records show.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Justin Cody Magill, 30, threw his wife to the ground during an April 20 argument over infidelity. Kara Nicole Magill, 28, responded later that day by extinguishing a burning cigarette on her husband's forehead, police reported.

The husband told police his wife started fighting with him because she thinks he is having an affair with a woman at work, the affidavit states.

Police said the couple's daughter was present during the assaults at an apartment in the 6200 block of NW 37. Both were arrested after officers went to the apartment a second time.
