MIDWEST CITY — The Midwest City-Del City School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the school board.
The opening was created when board President Kevin Walker resigned April 23 because he is moving from the district.
The board will appoint his replacement within 60 days. No special election is planned at this time, Mid-Del Schools spokeswoman Stacey Boyer said.
The vacancy is for seat four, and applications will be available beginning Thursday. Applications can be picked up at the superintendent's office, 7217 SE 15, or downloaded at www.mid-del.net. Information regarding the geographical boundaries can be found in the board vacancy application packet.
All completed applications must be placed in a sealed envelope and received at the superintendent's office no later than 4:30 p.m. May 20.
