MWC to hold Pet Awareness Day Saturday, May 4

The Midwest City Animal Welfare Department will be sponsoring a Pet Awareness Day on Saturday, May 4, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park Happy Tails Dog Park.

Animal adoption and flea and tick dipping will be conducted by the shelter.  Animal Medical Center will be micro-chipping animals and offering discounted items.

Other services available will include animal nail clippings by Nazareth Gates, with Nazty Dogs Grooming.  Stewart’s Mobile Grooming and Animals Best Friend Foundation will also be in attendance.

An inflatable obstacle course will be on hand for the kids, along with hot dogs.

The event is free.
