Cox Communications has announced the launch of Cox HS Hub, a website that serves as a central information and entertainment point for Oklahoma high school sports fans. The Hub (www.coxhshub.com), which features live streaming of high school games and events, an archive of past games, photo galleries, highlight reels and more, is an addition to Cox's high school sports coverage offered on Cox Channel (3 SD, 703 HD).
The Hub plans to focus on featuring sports that traditionally don't get as much exposure as other sports. Baseball, soccer, tennis, golf and track coverage will be featured along with fan favorites like football and basketball. Cox streamed some state finals basketball games in March to test the site.
Cox plans to offer extensive coverage of the boys and girls soccer playoffs. Live game coverage will begin Friday with Claremore at Tulsa Washington at 6 p.m. in a girls match and Tulsa Edison at Tulsa Washington at 8 p.m. in a boys match. These games will air live on the Cox Channel and on Cox HS Hub. In addition to the live games, from May 3-11 the Hub also will feature daily live studio updates for all spring sports at the bottom of the hour. The schedule for these updates and other coverage can be found on the website.
