EUFAULA — McIntosh County officials say at least two people have been injured in an explosion outside a sandblasting plant in Eufaula.

Sheriff Kevin Ledbetter told reporters that two people were being flown to an area hospital following the blast at Ford Sandblasting in west Eufaula about noon Tuesday. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Authorities say the explosion may have involved a propane tank and that nearby homes and two school campuses were evacuated as precautions.
