When police and an emergency service team arrived, the Claremore Progress reports, they found the man trapped under a car, with the engine running.
The man struggling to breathe and the emergency crew determined his shirt was restricting his breathing. So, they cut the shirt.
Police lifted the car and held it off the man until firefighters arrived, braced his neck and pull him to safety.
The fire chief and others have praised all those involved in helping save the victim.
