According to folklore, which Oklahoma town won't get hit by a tornado? Published: May 10, 2013

As clouds pass through the small town, there's a reason why folks don't worry as much when there's a chance for storms, according to KOKH.

"The Indians have always said that Minco would never be hit by a tornado," said Nancy Minco, a lifelong Minco resident.

Many Minco residents believe in Native American Folklore. Since the town is nestled between two rivers and sits in the middle of a valley, folklore says Minco is shielded from tornadoes.
