Warmer temperatures are ahead Monday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Temperatures will be near 89 degrees with gusty winds in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City forecast for Monday and the rest of the week is as follows:

Monday: Sunny with a high near 89. Southwest wind 9 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Monday night: Mostly clear with a low around 62. South, southwest wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny with a high near 88. South, southwest wind 11 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 65. South wind 13 to 18 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 82. South wind 13 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy with a low around 65.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 82.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with a low around 66.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 85.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 67.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 87.
