UPI reports a restaurant in Australia is offering a roll for that price as part of Bacon Week.
4Fourteen, a restaurant in Surry Hills, will have the breakfast sandwich on its menu for just one week, according to The Sunday Telegraph, Sydney.
Why the high price?
The sandwich reportedly featured award-winning bacon from Slade Point Meat Specialists in Mackay, Queensland, a pan-friends duck egg, semi-dried and smoked gourmet truss tomatoes, duck foie gras, caviar, creme fraiche, shaved truffles and English cheddar, squeezed between a handmade brioche bun, UPI reports.
