Under the Radar DVD of the Week: 'Man V Food: Season 3'

This week, the oddest DVD to appear on release lists is:

“Man V Food: Season 3”

The Travel Channel series “Man V Food” prides itself on being a manly, no-nonsense quest to find the best chow in America, and in its wandering third season – due out on DVD Tuesday – it devoted one episode to profiling a few of the best, so-called “pig-out joints” in Oklahoma City.

“Man V Food: Season 3” meandered through such far-flung destinations as Butte, MT., Niagara Falls and the Jersey Shore, and closer to the heartland its voracious host Adam Richman sampled regional fare in Kansas City, Des Moines and Boulder.

But the season’s gastronomical highlight most certainly was its episode nine visit to Oklahoma City, where Richman’s entertaining hunger quest took him to three local institutions with fanatical foodie followings.
