NEW YORK – In the political comedy “The Campaign,” co-stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis play characters vying for that most coveted of government jobs – U.S. congressman.

So what if the two actors – along with director Jay Roach and co-star Dylan McDermott – could choose any government job they wanted? That’s a question they were asked during a press conference hosted by Warner Bros. as the film was poised for national release.

Here are their choices:

Will Ferrell: “If I wasn’t in comedy I’m sure I would have worked for the government in a government job, so it’s hard to decide. Probably I’d choose payroll services. Because of the excitement.”

Zach Galifianakis: “For me, it’s really important for people to like me, so I’d  probably pick the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles).”

Dylan McDermott: “I’d have to say the post office.”

Jay Roach: “I’d say I’d like to be a teacher because I’d completely enjoy messing with kids’ heads.”
