A day dress from the Badgley Mischka fall collection.

The Giants get a have a ticker-tape parade.

I get a day of fashion. Everyone wins.

This morning kicked off with fashion shows from two heavyweights that deliver gorgeous clothes for both day and evening. The duo behind Badgley Mischka developed quite a name for themselves years ago by sending out one beautiful gown after another. Then they started stepping into clothes for day, and what a marriage.

For fall,Badgley Mischka sent out taffeta, houndstooth and glen plaid jackets paired with slim skirts and pants. Fur was plentiful, such as the gold-washed fox vest and the black beaver and sheared mink top. To please everyone, both slim and full pants graced the runways.

As with most of the shows, the finishing touch was a belt. And feathers poking out here and there.

Evening looks included a jet Lurex broacade dress with feather hem and a jet/amethyst tulle and gazar gown with a loosely gathered neckline. Fuchsia, emerald, amethyst and cobalt added plenty of bright spots.
